Engagement: Sara & Sony

He was looking at her. Following her every movement. Taking care she does not freeze, she does not fall walking in her high heeled shoes. “He is the careful one”, she said, smiling at him. All the time.

This weekend I had my very first engagement shooting. It made me realize that I could make people happy. Just by taking pictures…

We found a nice yellow bus = hellooo colourful background.

Oh, look at them. They think I’m funny. Just a little bit.

Thank you Sara and Sony. I’m so excited for your wedding this summer!

En rouge

La tour Eiffel, cheese, red wine, and love. Oui bien sûr. That’s cliché, I know I know. But this is what you get today – first (cliché) pictures from Paris, edited en rouge. Oh là là.

In the Jungle

March 13, 2011 § 5 Comments

Ten tourists – cute Italians, pretty Croatians and two well-read and adorable Germans. 😉 Oh, and there was this one Californian boy. He was my paranoid soulmate. Miss you bro.

One local driver – who we did not understand completely, which is fine. He showed us the beauty of organized tourists traps, three times. Not so fine. But we tipped him either way, because it ain’t easy being a driver in India. And sometimes you need to be the tourist and fall into your trap – ehmm – role.

One bus – with air conditioning spitting water on us. The 14-seater packed with luggage was leaving place for 10 people. Lucky us.

A very funny trip. Thank you guys for an incredible time in Kerala. The crew:

And the picturesss:

7 a.m.: Game viewing at Periyar Wildlife Reserve. Everybody was waiting for elephants and tigers. After two hours of boat touring we realized that wild pigs and birds are the only wild animals we would see. Well, the nature was beautiful too.     Luckily, we saw this little monkey – and the trip to the jungle was suddenly worth it. He got some forbidden cookies. We don’t know how this happened.

The girls did some little shopping.

Traditional Kerala Martial Arts. The boys were actually thinking they would fight for real. For 2,50 Euro.

The Indian Wedding

March 8, 2011 § 1 Comment

There were flowers, lights, colourful sarees, kurtas, salwaris – and one sacred fire. Here are finally some pictures of the traditional Indian wedding ceremony:

And there was DANCE.

Moreover, stylish turbans.

And of course, the tourists. We are way too cool, and you wouldn’t tell we are foreigners. I know.
